the Historical Society of Alberta helps to maintain and promote the history of Alberta, Canada. They are a volunteer organization and have a membership that includes not only Alberta but people across Canada and the world.
the requirements
- build a web site for the Historical Society of Alberta that mirrors the look of their Alberta History magazine
- a Content Management System that included content approval and access/permissions control
- an event manager that included both site-wide and chapter-specific events
- site wide searching
the solution
- a powerful CMS solution that integrates all content management tools (including the custom event system)
- the site map, menu, and site search are completely automated
- a custom event management system
the result
where once it was difficult to maintain the content on the HSA site, now all individual chapter members have access to change and update their own areas.
