eLearning is one of the most exciting outgrowths of the internet and we always enjoy developing training- and learning-based applications.
one of the most exciting tools to work with in eLearning is Flash. Not only does Flash allow you to create interactive tools, it allows you to integrate the front-end movie with a backend application for monitoring, support, and recording of results.
we have developed several eLearning solutions for MacEwan College, two of which can be found on the case study: MacEwan web page. In these, the visitor interacts with a project created by college staff. The solutions are designed to be project-generic so they can be used in a wide variety of ways depending upon the subject matter.
we have recently begun work on a testing solution that allows administrators to create PDF Forms-based tests and place them in a managed online area. Students who take the tests online either submit them directly or email them back to the administrator (who can then upload the completed test into the system).
this solution has several key advantages. Test results are compiled and automatically evaluated by the system, the submissions are recorded into a spreadsheet for later viewing and there are several options for viewing the results (final mark, corrected answers, etc.). The biggest advantage is that instructors are able to create any number of tests they wish without our involvement.
