Clever Technology Inc. has launched the Historical Society of Alberta website, a collaborative site with content contributed from all four Alberta chapters.
Founded in 1907, the HSA was established to further the awareness and experience of Alberta history throughout the province. Made up of four separate chapters, the society is made up mostly of volunteers who work both within their region and as a group to organize events, publish articles and books, present speaker series, and a host of other activities.
Clever Technology was chosen via RFP to develop a website that reflected the Society's preservation and management of the Alberta History Magazine, and to develop a system to manage the numerous events that the society was involved in. The system was custom developed upon the FarCry content management system, and includes a great deal of custom event management functionality specifically designed for the HSA.
The website, which changes its look from season to season to match the color and style of the Alberta History Magazine, has all ready received positive reviews from the HSA and its peers, and will help them bring their message to the province and the rest of the world.
