The Queen Alexandra History Centre website has opened for business.
The History Centre offers unique, hands-on demonstration sessions to schools from grades 2 to 7. Topics range from the pioneer settlement of the west to the growth of trade and industry across the country. The sessions are workshop style, with stories, interactive tasks, demonstrations and activities for the children to participate in. They also offer special teacher sessions, helping instructors gain practical insights and create more interesting teaching experience in their classrooms.
Clever Technology was tasked with the mission of creating a session reistration service, allowing teachers to register themselves or their classes into the entirely staff-managed website. "We wanted to give them the ability to create and manage the sessions entirely on their own", said Grant Shepert, manager of Clever Technology. "We've always believed that for a website to be successful, the managers have to have the ability to easily update its content."
In addition to session management, the system included comprehensive reporting tools, and integrated PDF document generation for both invoicing and session information kits.
